October 2026 Product Update
October so far brings more control over pricing and invoices, labels addressed to the right person, and Okta sign in.
Pricing and invoicing
Discount one rate without touching the rest
You can now apply a percentage discount to the hourly, distance, item, weight, volume, drop or wait rate individually, in the App Portal and Team Portal. Discount one rate for a customer without changing their other rates or building a new rate card. Fuel levies are now applied in the correct order alongside these adjustments.
Bill by the hour without showing times
A new Hourly, No Times customer invoice template bills hourly without the start and finish columns, for customers who do not need to see the times.
See every stop behind a run charge
Customer invoice spreadsheets now list each stop under a run level charge, the same way trip level charges already do, so customers can see what each run charge covers.
Rate rules on custom fields now price correctly
Rate rules with conditions based on custom fields now price as written.
Breaks only for drivers who have them
Trips created without a driver no longer take on the team owner's break schedule, so breaks only appear for drivers who have one set up.
In the office
Labels show the recipient's name
Shipment labels now print the contact name for the stop instead of the customer or company name.
Your sort order holds
The Process Charges Trips grid now keeps your sort on multiple columns for the session, so you do not have to re-sort it.
Dispatch matches the booking
Dispatch now shows the same collection date and service as the customer's booking.
Drivers see the service name
Stops in the driver app now show the service name rather than the item text.
Trip preview stays in the Team Portal
The trip preview icon on the trips list now opens trip details inside the Team Portal instead of linking out to the App Portal.
Job alerts match their priority
Job assignment and offer notifications on the driver app now use a sound and notification channel set by the job's priority, so an urgent job does not sound like a routine one.
Custom actions run for on demand bookings
Custom actions now trigger for on demand bookings, and run as the assigned driver, or the user who made the change if no driver is assigned.
Smaller things that stop getting in the way
The Trips screen region filter now holds after a live update, scheduled trips take on the driver's region when a driver is assigned, and deleting a team region now completes instead of timing out.
Enterprise sign in
Sign in with Okta
Enterprise Single Sign On now supports SAML 2.0, so organizations using Okta can connect, alongside Microsoft Entra ID.
Connected systems
Update a driver's member code from your own system
A new API endpoint lets you update a team member's member code without logging in to Locate2u.
Customer region in the API
The customers endpoints now return each customer's team region.
Legacy app
Manual texts go to the right stop
On the legacy iOS app, a manual customer SMS now always goes to the stop the driver is working on.
